Cecelia is a designer born and raised in the Napa Valley, currently living in Sonoma, California. She adores her (high school sweetheart) husband, their daughters Maelyn and Nora and their chihuahua fur-babies Nelli + Bert. Cecelia finds joy in the simplest of pleasures - scouring local flea markets and thrift shops, manicures, cozy knit scarves, a glass of bubbles, changing seasons and all holidays. She's afraid of spiders, but loves a good scary movie. You can find her working to the sounds of Sam Smith, The Beatles, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Pink Floyd and the occasional Kanye...depending on her mood.
Cecelia found her passion for design at a young age. After studying Interior Design at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in San Francisco, she went on to work for well-known Bay Area designers in both interior and floral design.
Throughout her eight years in the floral industry, Cecelia has honed her talent and style and discovered an immense love of flowers. There's something about finding the perfect color palette, collection of vases or an unusually textured foliage that makes her heart sing.
Cecelia takes great pride in each and every event she produces, using the freshest blooms from local California growers and from as far away as Holland, Italy and Japan. She specializes in timeless, romantic, garden-inspired designs customized for each individual couple she works with.
Since starting Mae Flowers in fall of 2014, Cecelia's floral work has been featured in the following online and print publications:
